Our mission is to help you be more in touch with whats happening, whether its at home or at your intended destination, though it might just be somewhere you think you want to visit! We are stretching the concepts of travel at OFF2 and making it fun again, share your photos and clips of where youve been and tell others about wheres hot and wheres not to go!
Background
OFF2 is a fully functional Travel website encompassing social networking at its core. Offering Dynamic & Package Holidays, Hotels and Car Hire as its core products it will also be adding a unique twist to the travel and tourism market by allowing users and businesses to list their own events and products.
With the importance of user interactivity paramount the site has been built to enable users to not only book their holidays and travel requirements but to also allow friends and colleagues to engage in their activities, see their reviews / photos / videos and to also recommend and be notified of upcoming events and local attractions that may be of interest.
The initial launch will focus on the UK & US markets with two primary goals, to increase user base and become a fully recognized web 2.0 website that can sustain a ‘real world’ commercial value. The website is built on IBM Websphere technology (Ikea / Amazon / Ebay) offering yet more industry specific advantages such as ‘Similar Items’ & ‘Recommended Items’ based on previous user behaviour.
Additionally the company will become a fully bonded IATA & ATOL travel agency in 2007.
